Women's Common Room Club kicks off new season

Women's Common Room Club kicks off new season

The Queen's Women's Common Room Club has welcomed new members at its first event of the academic year.

The social club is for female members of academic and academic-related staff (past and present) and female partners of Queen's staff. Joining the club is an excellent way of making friends and meeting new people and, over the years, it has proved to be invaluable to those women who are new to Northern Ireland.

The club holds meetings each month (comprising talks, craft evening and a visit in summer) and has thriving book, cinema, experimental cookery and gardening groups. Membership is free for the first year, after which there is a small annual subscription.

Upcoming meetings include a talk by Dr Samuel Webb on The story of the King James Bible on Tuesday 15 November followed by a craft evening on Tuesday 6 December.  Future meetings are listed on What's on at Queen's.
