New Bite of Queen’s initiative served up for staff

The University has launched a new initiative for staff which gives them a flavour of the brilliant work being carried out at Queen’s.

Organised by the Communications and External Affairs Office, A Bite of Queen's Campus Tours allow staff to go behind the scenes of some of the University’s great buildings and hear about the amazing work being carried out by colleagues who work in them.

Staff from across the University recently took part in the first two tours in the initiative, which showcased the Lanyon Building. The tour gave them an insight into the history of the building, some of the stories and people who have brought the Lanyon to life over the years and highlighted the importance philanthropy has played in its restoration and refurbishment.

‌Feedback from the tours has been extremely positive and the initiative is being extended in the new academic year to include tours of Riddel Hall and the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology.

Details of the forthcoming tours as well as registration details will be advertised in the Round Up in the new academic year.
