Research Impact Showcase
Professor William Scanlon from the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science being interviewed for Evening Extra during the Showcase event. Professor Scanlon, alongside Dr Simon Cotton, is looking at how to satisfy the modern demand for high rate data communication for people on the move. His solution is a body-to-body network that would function over a short range and use high frequencies, envisaging the new ‘smart’ device being worn on the body or integrated into clothing creating a generation of smart people
