e-Learning Staff Development

The Regional Support Centre has many years' experience in supporting the Further and Higher Education Sector. We offer support in embedding ILT into Teaching and Learning and we do this by:

Supporting Senior Management:

  • Strategic development of ILT Strategy and Action Plans;
  • ILT Health check to bench mark where you are now in relation to ILT;
  • Senior Management Briefing Programmes on current and emerging initiatives relating to ILT;

Supporting ILT Staff Development Officers – in assisting with planning ILT staff development, design and deliver workshops on:

  • Web 2.0 technologies;
  • Multi Media;Moving Images;
  • E-resources;
  • E-Tools (Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Information Skills);
  • Legal Issues – SENDO, Copyright, Plagiarism;
  • E-assessment and E-portfolios;
  • Supporting Learners with VLE;
  • Supporting Online Communication;

Supporting IT staff – by providing advice and guidance on issues surrounding infrastructure, reliability, security and development of networks:

  • Online Webinars and links to external providers’ events;
  • Apple courses including management on AD system;
  • Balanced security Audits, Security webinars and forums, security testing service;
  • Helpdesk training event and reference at various meetings;

Supporting Learning Resources Staff - providing advice and guidance on e-resources, Library Management Systems and Federated Access Management:

  • E-learning Forums – to disseminate good practice and raise awareness of new e-resources
  • Workshops on Federated Access Management
  • Workshops on embedding e-resources into teaching materials
  • Support Forums for Library Management Systems
