Judging Panel

The Judging Panel is made up of staff from across the University as well as a student representative. The Panel will assess all nominations against the award criteria.

Marion Matchett

Chair

Marion is Chair of the Judging Panel. A member of Senate, the University's Governing Body, she is a former Chief Inspector of the Education and Training Inspectorate.

Martin Mooney

Operational Representative

Martin is Head Porter, responsible for overseeing all the postal services, driving and general portering duties throughout the campus. He has worked at Queen's for 15 years.

Academic Representative

Michael is Dean of Graduate Studies in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Isobel Davidson

Isobel Davidson

Clerical Representative

Isobel works in the Finance Directorate, providing professional secretarial support to the Director, Wendy Galbraith and her Senior Management Team. She has worked in the Directorate since 1991.

Research Representative

Christoph is a Queen's Fellow at the Institute for Global Food Security. His research interests centre around the molecular events that enable bacteria to adapt to their environment.

Catherine is School Manager in the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences. She has worked at Queen's for 25 years.

Sean Fearon

Seán Fearon

Student Representative

Seán is the Students' Union President. A Queen's graduate, he was Campaigns and Communications Officer in the Students' Union before taking up his post as President in July 2016.

Academic-Related Representative

Liz is Head of Queen's Sport. Her role is to encourage participation at all levels, including performance sport, recreational activity and community outreach activity.

Trevor is the Technical Services Manager in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, responsible for laboratories, workshops and instrumentation. He has worked at Queen's for 36 years.
