The closing date for applications is 1 August 2013.
Check-in is on Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 September 2013.
There will be staff available during check-in weekend to guide you around the accommodation.
Where on-site parking is available, we can only allow 30 minutes to unload your vehicle due to parking restrictions and the volume of people arriving on site.

Telephones are not provided in Queen's Accommodation, however, there are data points in your room and internet cables are provided.
We provide a TV license for the communal areas, however, if you wish to bring a television for your room but you will need to purchase a TV license. If you intend to watch live television via your computer, you will also require a TV license. If you have not been allocated a parking permit there is a Pay Per Use car park operating at the Elms Village. Students can park in the two car parks located beside the Elms Village Reception building on a pay per use basis – 50p per 24 hours. You must register your car details if you wish to use these car parks by coming to Elms Village Reception (you only need to register once).
There is a Tesco and a Co-op nearby on the Lisburn Road.
University Security is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The housekeeping staff will provide a weekly clean during core teaching times of all communal to include hallways, stairways, landing and corridors, kitchen/common rooms, communal toilets and showers.
The residential fees cover all your utility bills. However, if you decide to bring a TV, you will need to purchase a TV licence.
Contents insurance is provided in all University accommodation through a block insurance scheme. This cost of this insurance is included in the rent students pay for their University accommodation. Further details will follow in relation to the insurer and the extent of the cover etc.
The main campus is only 10 minutes walk from Elms Village.
The Accommodation team will start accepting room move requests from 7 October 2013.

We have a large team of staff including a team of Community Youth Workers and Residential Assistants who can support you through the year and find help from experts within Queen's University, whatever the problem.
If students select a 38 or 50 week contract for accommodation this includes both the Christmas and Easter holidays. This means that students do not have to move out all their belongings if they return home for the holidays. All the accommodation is open during the holidays therefore students can come and go as they please.
You can sign in a guest at Elms Village Reception by calling in and completing the relevant form by 7:00pm on the day of arrival. The guest must also ensure to sign out at Elms Village Reception on their departure date. We can also provide guest rooms at Elms Village which can be booked in advance and paid for at Elms Village Reception. These rooms are subject to availability.
The damage deposit is not included in the residential fees. This amount is held over the length of your contract. When you check out of your accommodation your room will be inspected and any damage charges will be deducted from this deposit. If you have any unpaid charges on your account these will also be deducted. The remainder of the deposit will then be returned to you. If you have no damage charges or outstanding charges then the full deposit will be returned.
If you have any financial difficulties or queries please call Elms Village Reception between 9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday and speak to Louise McGeough or Marie McCullough. They will be able to provide advice or identify sources of financial support available from Queen's University to which you may be entitled.
All maintenance faults should be reported online as soon as possible.

All post items, including parcels, are kept in Elms Village reception. Students can check for post at any time by bringing some photographic ID to reception. Unfortunately due to the large volume of post we receive we can not inform students when items arrive, therefore it is important that you check for any post on a regular basis. Any post not collected after 4 weeks will be returned to sender.
If someone is sending you post, or if you are ordering items to be delivered, please make sure your name is clearly marked as well as your block and room number i.e. Miss A. N. Other, 4 Ash Avenue, Room 201, Elms Village, 78 Malone Road, Belfast BT9 5BW.
The check out date for students living in accommodation in 2013/14 (on a 38 week contract) will be Saturday 14th June 2014. You need to vacate your room and return your key or key card to Elms Village Reception by 12noon on this date.
When leaving your accommodation please ensure the room is left as you found it upon check-in. Windows and doors should be securely locked. Kitchens and common rooms should be left clean and tidy and all food and personal items removed.
