The World Police & Fire Games are coming to Belfast, Northern Ireland in 2013!

The Police Service of Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, and Northern Ireland Prison Service will host approximately 10,000 Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters from around the world who will compete in a wide variety of sporting events in Belfast. An ideal choice is to stay in Queen's Accommodation at Elms Village during this exciting event.

Why choose Elms Village?

Elms Village is located approximately 1.5 miles (2km) from the Belfast City Centre in a leafy, residential area within walking distance of local shops and restaurants. It is located close to the University main campus, the Queen's University Physical Education Centre, Mary Peters Track, Queen's University Malone Playing Fields/Dub Pavilion, the Waterfront and Belfast City Hall. Elms Village has 24 hour security and 24 hour reception, where we can accommodate late arrivals and early checkouts. At the centre of Elms Village is the Treehouse Bar & Restaurant where breakfast is normally served from 7:00-10:00am daily; please not that other locations on campus will also be used for breakfast during the WPFG and this information will be posted on this website when it is available. In the Treehouse you will also find a MACE Shop and Deli which is open 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday, in addition to an ATM an coin-operated laundry. On site car parking is available (for a small charge) and this should be arranged when booking.

Accommodation is offered in single, en suite and standard rooms which are simply furnished with a single bed, desk and chair. The en suite bathroom has a shower; we do not have baths. The standard rooms have a washbasin and share a bathroom with 4 people. Rooms are arranged in blocks which are three stories high with eleven bedrooms on each floor; please not we do not have lifts; if preferred a ground floor room may be requested when booking. Each floor has a kitchen which is fully equipped with a table and benches, tea/coffee making facilities, cooker, microwave and a soft seating area with a TV.

Local attractions in the area include the Ulster Museum and Botanic Gardens, Friar's Bush Graveyard, the Belfast Queen's Quarter, the River Lagan Towpath and Queen's University Welcome Centre.
