Forum Launch

The Forum will be launched on November 17th 2006 at an inaugural seminar. We are delighted that the guest speaker at the launch will be Professor Jens Qvortrup, Professor of Sociology at the Norwegian Centre for Childhood Research, editor of Childhood and one of the founding figures of modern childhood studies.  The event will take place in the Council Chamber from 10.00-2.00.  There will be a show-case of research projects relating to children in the Council Chamber, giving members a further opportunity to find out more about the research which is taking place across the university.

Research Methods Seminar

Professor Allison James from the University of Sheffield and a pioneer of active research methodologies with children will the guest speaker at the first seminar of the Research Methods SIG in December.  Please contact Dr Madeleine Leonard for further details.
