Researching Children and Young People
Second Annual Multi Disciplinary Postgraduate Conference of the Research Forum for the Child
The Research Forum for the Child invites postgraduates to present and attend at the Second Postgraduate Conference on Tuesday 1st June 2010 at Queen's University, Belfast. The Conference is an initiative of the Research Forum for the Child and seeks to promote high quality, multidisciplinary research that provides a greater understanding of the issues that affect children and young people. The theme of the conference is “Researching Children and Young People”. The aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity for postgraduates from all stages and all disciplines to present their work, receive feedback and network with other postgraduates with similar research interests in a constructive and encouraging atmosphere.
This year’s conference is exclusively for postgraduates at Queen’s University, Belfast. We would encourage all postgraduates who are researching children and young people to attend this event and to propose a 15-20 minute paper or a poster. Abstracts submission for both papers and posters should be no more than 250 words and should include your name, department and title of presentation. All abstracts should be submitted by email to pgconf2010@googlemail.com by Friday 19th March 2010. Please also use this email address to register your attendance at the event.
May we thank you in advance for your support on this matter and we look forward to working with postgraduate students on the shared interest of matters relating to the Child. If you have any questions or would like further information you can contact me at dkernaghan02@qub.ac.uk.
Yours faithfully,
Donna Kernaghan
