The Child Health and Welfare Recognised Research Group (http://www.chawrrg.qub.ac.uk/index.html) comprises of the following 5 areas of established research expertise:

Human Nutrition
Respiratory Medicine
Clinical Pharmaceutics
Social Science and Epidemiology

The RRG has two main broad themes with some groups planning to concentrate their research more in one theme than the other: i) the influence of nutrition, lifestyle, environmental and social factors on child health and development (groups 1, 2, 3 & 5); and ii) the management and treatment of the sick child from conception to adolescence (groups 1 to 4).
