With just over a week to go, here are some important bits of information.

•    Delegates arriving on Sunday, should make their way to the main site of Queen’s University campus and go to the main entrance of the Lanyon Building (number 4 on map below).  Signs will indicate how to get to the Canada Room where registration will be available from 4pm until 8pm.  A welcome reception will be held in the nearby Naughton Gallery from 6pm to 8pm.

•    Delegates arriving during the week should make their way to the entrance of the IRCEP Physics Building ( number 1 on map)  , at the right-hand side of the main Lanyon Building and go to the main foyer (up one flight of steps) where signs will indicate where registration will be available.

•    All oral sessions will be held in the Emeleus Lecture Theatre (number 2 on map) , entrance from Archway in front of IRCEP Building.  The poster session on Tuesday will be held inside the IRCEP Building (first floor).

•    Final numbers for papers have just been finalised, with some late withdrawals and late submissions, and we are only now in a position to decide on paper lengths.  Invited papers will allowed 10 pages, oral papers 8 pages and posters 6 pages.  Please keep to the limits and prepare submissions according to instructions already posted.  As indicated previously, any papers that can be submitted during the conference will be refereed during the week - hopefully speeding up the overall process.  Final deadlines will be announced later.

•    The Physical Education Centre at Queen’s  provides a wide range of sporting facilities for anyone interested in swimming, squash, weights etc, etc and a reduced entrance fee of £4 will be charged on production of your conference name-badge.  So bring any kit with you that you might use!

•    The social programme is fairly well finalised and we hope you find it interesting.  It includes a BBQ event with music on Monday evening, a tour trip on Wednesday afternoon and the Conference Dinner with entertainment on Wednesday night.  Unfortunately, it rains unpredictably in Ireland so you should probably bring some light waterproof jackets to be safe and dry!

•    Several delegates were unable to use the electronic registration system for payments.  It will be possible to arrange registration payment on arrival but we prefer if this can be done with cash where possible.

We wish you all have safe journeys to Belfast and recommend you keep checking the website for last minute notices.    Slán go fóill!
