Canadian Canoe

Description

BMC has designed and manufactured an 18ft Canadian canoe. This canoe was manufactured using the wet lay-up process with fiberglass reinforcement and a polyester resin. An old canoe was gratefully received and touched up to form the canoe plug. A female mould was then taken off this plug and the finished canoe was subsequently taken off the mould.

The canoe will make its maiden voyage later this year.

Paddles

We are currently manufacturing carbon fibre paddles for use with the Canadian canoe.  The paddles are being produced with carbon fibre, glass fibre, expoy resin and polyurethane foam. The paddles are using a split moulding technique and vacuum bagging for consolidation purposes.
