Thanks to funding received from the Department of Education, postgraduate research students at Queen’s University have access to training and development opportunities within the Postgraduate Researcher Development Programme.
The Postgraduate Researcher Development Programme is based on the requirements of both the Postgraduate Researcher Development Statement and Researcher Development Framework. These have been created by Vitae, an organisation that exists to support the professional and personal development of doctoral researchers and research staff in higher education institutions and research institutes. They have been endorsed by the QAA and Research Council UK.
The Programme offers students a comprehensive range of training courses, 1-2-1 support and skills development opportunities and is co-ordinated by the PRDP team, based in the Graduate School.
The Postgraduate Researcher Development Programme aims to support Postgraduate Research Students in developing a range of professional skills to successfully complete their research and increase their employability.
