We hope that your friends and family will come to visit you in Northern Ireland and we will be happy to provide you with a letter of support from Queen's.
If your friend or family member is coming to visit you for a holiday they will come as a general visitor. Depending on their nationality, they may need to apply for a visitor visa before they come here (known as entry clearance). Some friends or family members can come to the UK without applying for entry clearance, but they will still need to bring certain documents with them to show to Immigration Officers at the airport. You can find all of the information about who needs to apply for entry clearance, application forms and other guidance on the UK Border Agency's website.
If you need a visitor support letter you must send the following information to iss@qub.ac.uk
Information required about you:
We will email you when your letters are ready for collection. All collections will be from the International Student Support reception desk. You should bring ID with you, i.e. your student card. International Student Support cannot post these letters.
When your friend or family member decide they want to visit you, they should see the UKBA website for further information on how to apply for a visa.
