Accommodation for delegates is available in the university’s modern and comfortable halls of residence in the Elms Village, a short walk from the main university site. The location of the Halls in relation to the conference venue (School of Music and Sonic Arts) and other accommodation has been plotted on the map below.
Elms Village has 24-hour security and reception cover and there is a restaurant/social area at its centre which also has a convenience store and an ATM. On-site car parking is also available. Accommodation blocks are a maximum of 3 floors. Each floor has a kitchen (with tea and coffee-making facilities), and a common room with TV. Although there are no double rooms, delegates who are travelling with spouses can be accommodated in adjacent rooms upon request.
Delegates who wish to book accommodation at the Halls of Residence can do so when registering for the conference via the online registration facility available through the Registration section.
We have reserved a limited number of single en-suite rooms at the Halls of Residence so that all delegates who wish to stay there could be accommodated. In order to avoid cancellation charges, we will be cancelling the surplus rooms after 4 p.m. on Monday, 13 June 2011. While it may still be possible to book university accommodation after this date, we can no longer guarantee the availability of rooms. We therefore advise delegates who wish to stay in university accommodation to make their bookings by this deadline.
The rooms will be available for the nights of 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd July. If you wish to stay for an extra night it should be possible to arrange this by contacting Elms directly.
If you have already registered for the conference and wish add accommodation to your booking, please log into your existing account with the same username and password and choose 'Accommodation' from the tabs on the left-hand side of the screen. Please note that the screen will show '0.00', follow the instructions, and click 'Add to Cart'.
Other amenities can be provided at a small cost.
Delegates who do not wish to stay at Elms Village will need to make their own arrangements. For this purpose we have included some information on alternative accommodation options in the sections below.
