
2012-2013 Robert Penn Warren Graduate Student Fellowships
Applications are invited for a one-year Fellowship at the Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities, Vanderbilt University in Nashville from students in the Arts, Humanities and qualitative Social Sciences for whom 2012-13 will be the final year of their PhD.
The Robert Penn Warren Center promotes interdisciplinary research and study in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Each year the Center makes available seven Graduate Student Fellowships to students of Vanderbilt University to support innovation and excellence in graduate student research. For the third year in succession an additional Fellowship will be awarded to one Queen's student i.e. for the academic year 2012-13.
This award offers the successful student a service-free year of support to enable full-time work on their dissertation. The award will include tuition, health insurance, a stipend of $18,000, a research budget of $2,000, travel and affiliation with the Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities.
Application will only be accepted from students whose Supervisor and Head of School approve a timetable for the dissertation's completion by August 2013.
The competition is open to UK/EU nationals ONLY.
