3.1 Joint projects
•    Prime Minister Initiative 2 projects
Two British Council-funded PMI2 (Prime Minister Initiative) awards totalling £38,000 on International Mobility and on Entrepreneurship and Employability have been secured, enabling ten UK students to undergo Entrepreneurship training and field tests in China throughout July and August 2010. These projects were undertaken and designed to complement the Science Bridge project.
  • Prof. Shiji Song to collaborative research in Queen’s University Sep. 2009, funded by Royal Academy of Engineering Senior Visiting Professorship.
  • Prof. Shaoyuan Li to collaborative research in Queen’s University Aug. 2011, funded by Royal Academy of Engineering Senior Visiting Professorship.

3.2 Joint laboratory

1.    A new joint laboratory on Loose Particle Detection for Encapsulated Electronic Components and Devices (QUB and HIT) has been inaugurated in 2012.
