Aims/Aimed at

Aim:

The main objective of this course is to help academic researchers (from all discliplines) to plan and conduct focus group interviews to the standards required for publishing in policy reports or academic journals.  Participants will have an opportunity to consider the use of focus group methods as a stand alone collection method or in mixed methods studies.  The courseis twinned with Introduction to Qualitative Data Analysis Techniques (21 March 2012) in which participants will gain an introduction to analysing focus group data as well as other types of qualitative data.
