REF, Citations and Research Output

Event Description

Content:

Bibliometric data is an increasingly important element when determining where to publish research and will feature in the Research Excellence Framework (REF).  This session will introduce the most commonly used measures such as citation counts and the h-index and the main bibliometric tools including the Web of Science and Publish or Perish.  It will also cover local resources that are relevant to the REF such as the University’s Institutional Repository (QCite) and Publications Database.
