PowerPoint 3: Creating Poster Presentations [3 hours]

Event Description

 

This specialised course will benefit staff who are interested in using PowerPoint 2010 to prepare static presentations for conferences or exhibitions. Participants will learn how to change the page setup to accommodate custom sizes and advice will be provided on how to design research posters in order to achieve maximum impact. Through a practical exercise, the course will also cover useful techniques such as applying an image to the background of the poster, creating basic shapes and diagrams and changing the transparency of text boxes, as well as a brief overview of WordArt and SmartArt.


Aims/Aimed at

Staff who have experience in using either PowerPoint 2007 or 2010 and who wish to learn about using it to create posters.

Pre-requisites

Previous attendance at PowerPoint 1: Essentials or significant experience of using PowerPoint 2007 or 2010.
