This workshop will increase researchers’ Intellectual Property (IP) knowledge and help facilitate relationships within institutions to support the management and development of IP.

 

Content:

Participants will learn about the importance of Intellectual Property (IP) in research, as well as key elements of IP such as:

  • Copyrights
  • Patents
  • Design
  • Trademarks
  • Commercialisation of IP within research projects
  • Role of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and their support of research projects

The workshop provides information on IP at Queen’s.  Developed by Vitae and the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), the workshop is delivered by Dr Kevin Byron .  It will include a case study from Queen’s.

The workshop is open to doctoral and early career researchers.
