| An event of electroacoustic music featuring the premiere of Michael Clarke's work for saxophone and live-electronics developed during a residency at SARC with the duo l a u t (Franziska Schroeder, Pedro Rebelo). Eloy's Mimesis uses both sounds of "imitation" drawing their aesthetic value from the "world reality" and sounds of "images of creation" which re-create the energy and meaningful acts of life. The programme also features electroacoustic works by Scarani, Harrison and Perepelycia. | |

| A performance of new music for string quartet by young composers who took part in a Sound Inventors project at SARC during April 2005. Sound Inventors is an award-winning programme of composition projects for young people aged 12-18. Sound Inventors is a Youth Music initiative, devised and delivered by the spnm with partnership funds from the PRS Foundation. Sound Inventors Belfast was led by Belfast-born composer Deirdre Gribbin who was assisted by a creative team of professional composers and musicians.
