Welcome to the Centre for Social Research

The Centre for Social Research (CSR) is a small unit located within the School of Sociology and Social Policy at the Queen's University of Belfast, Northern Ireland. During the 1990s, the Centre serviced the social science research community in Northern Ireland in a number of ways, including:

• carrying out or acting as a base for a number of social policy-relevant research projects;
• liaison with the UK Data Archive;
• acting as a general resource of expertise for the Northern Irish research community;

The current activities of the CSR remain directed towards this goal of service:

• The Centre currently runs a Research Affiliate Programme run by the Centre provides an institutional framework for contract researchers working within the province and for researchers visiting Northern Ireland from other academic institutions;
