If you are holding an offer for graduate entry LLB (Senior Status) accelerated qualifying law degree and meet the criteria as set out in these terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded the LLB Senior Status International Scholarship upon enrolment.

Queen's Excellence Award
For exceptional students from China continuing their undergraduate programme. Exclusions apply.

This merit-based award is exclusive to international students who will commence their full-time and full duration undergraduate programme in the academic year 2022/23. Eligible students who achieve a 75% GPA in the academic year 2022/23 will be awarded a merit based award in the subsequent academic year 2023/24. Exceptional students who maintain a minimum GPA of 75% may receive this award in consecutive years

This merit-based award is exclusive to international students who have achieved a minimum GPA of 75% in their previous year’s academic study at Queen's University Belfast.

No separate application for this scholarship is required. If you achieve at least 75% GPA at the end of the academic year and meet the eligibility criteria as set out in the terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded a Queen’s Excellence Award following enrolment in the next year of your undergraduate programme.

Early Confirmation Award 2022/23
Unconditional offer holders from China paying fees in full can receive £1500 tuition fee reduction.

New international students with unconditional offers for the academic year 2022/23 may receive a discount of £1500 when paying their tuition fees in full* by the appropriate deadline.

Terms and Conditions VALUE: £1500

A £1500 reduction in tuition fees is available to new international students beginning a full-time course in the academic year 2022/23 who hold an unconditional offer and pay tuition fees less any International Office awards including the Early Confirmation Award by the following deadlines:

  • Undergraduate unconditional offer holders 30 June 2022 or within 5 days* of their offer becoming unconditional; and not later than 19 August 2022. *This is to prevent delays in CAS issuance during the peak period.
  • Postgraduate Taught unconditional offer holders 30 June 2022
  • Postgraduate Research unconditional offer holders not later than 90 days before the start date given in their offer letter

For children, grandchildren or brothers and sisters of Queen’s alumni and current students beginning a full duration course at Queen’s University Belfast. Available to eligible international students enrolling on undergraduate, postgraduate taught or postgraduate research programmes. Exclusions apply.

Terms and Conditions |  

The scholarship may only be claimed by students whose sibling, parent or grandparent is currently pursuing, or has already completed, a full duration* undergraduate or postgraduate programme at Queen's University Belfast. (*All years of programme must be completed at Queen’s University Belfast).

Step children and step siblings may also be eligible.

Students wishing to avail of the Queen’s Family Scholarship may be required to provide additional verification of their relationship to the current Queen’s University Belfast student or Queen’s University Belfast Alumni through whom they are claiming the Scholarship.

 

Undergraduate students must be beginning a full duration undergraduate programme i.e. a minimum of 3 years at the Queen's University Belfast campus.

Applicants from China can obtain a first year award of £2500 when beginning a Law (Juris Doctor) programme

All new students from China beginning their first year of a full-time Law (Juris Doctor) at Queen's University Belfast in the acacdemic year 2022/23 and who meet the conditions of their academic offer will receive the award of £2500

Queen’s University/China Scholarship Council PhD Awards
Up to 20 full PhD scholarships are available for candidates starting their studies in the 2022-23 academic year

Applicants currently in the first year of a PhD programme at Queen's in the 2021-22 academic year may also apply, if they meet the eligibility requirements (including academic criteria and English language).  Such applicants must have commenced their PhD on or after 1 September 2021 in order to be eligible for consideration.

Scholarship Value

Queen’s University Belfast provides a full tuition fee scholarship for successful applicants.  For those commencing the first year of PhD studies in 2022, the scholarship will cover up to three years full-time international PhD tuition fees, and one year thesis only/writing up charge (approximately £315).  The award is subject to registration at Queen’s, continued funding by the China Scholarship Council and to confirmation of satisfactory progress.

The China Scholarship Council provides;

• Maintenance stipend (as specified by the CSC)
• One economy class return journey from China to the UK
• Funding to cover visa application fees

Eligibility

(i) Candidates must be citizens of the People's Republic of China at the time of application, and either permanently resident in China or studying overseas. (Those working overseas are not eligible.)

It should be noted that citizens of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan are not eligible for consideration under the CSC joint funding route. Candidates must hold a PRC passport.

(ii) Successful candidates must return to China upon completion of their degree.

(iii) Candidates will also be required to satisfy the selection criteria set out by CSC. Details can be found on the website: China Scholarship Council

CQC QUEEN’S SCHOLARSHIPS 2022/23
The award will be offered to four CQC students beginning their full time Postgraduate Research programme at Queen's University

Four CQC Queen’s Scholarships are available and will be awarded to qualifying CQC students who are progressing to a Postgraduate Research programme at Queen’s University Belfast in 2022/23.

The Scholarships will be awarded to students with the highest final aggregate marks from their BSc degree.

Award value

£9,000 total award per student (£3,000 discount on tuition fees per year, up to a maximum of three years).

 To be eligible for this Scholarship you must:

1. Be a current Level 3 student at CQC, completing the BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences or the BSc in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology

2. Have applied and received an offer of a place of study for Postgraduate Research at Queen’s University Belfast

3. Complete and submit the form by the deadline of 4.00pm (CST) on Friday 27 May 2022.
