Full Terms and Conditions   

 

  1. This promotion is open to all residents in the United States of America currently enrolled in a US institution for Bachelors/Undergraduate studies. Exclusions apply.
  2. Only fee paying semester Study Abroad students will be eligible for entry to this competition. Students taking up a place at Queen's as part of an exchange agreement are not eligible.
  3. The Queen's University Accommodation Discount and Welcome Centre Gift Voucher will only be awarded once the referred friend has received written confirmation of their offer of a Study Abroad place at Queen’s.
  4. The Accommodation Discount will only apply to Queen's University Accommodation fees. The award is not transferrable to fees for accommodation external to the University.
  5. A referred friend may only use one referral code and name one referrer.
  6. The referral code and details of the referrer must be entered on the QUB Study Abroad Application form in Section 2 'Please state how you heard about Queen's University Belfast' before it is submitted to be eligible for the award. Students who have not submitted referral details on the application form will not be eligible to receive the awards.
  7.  In the event that a referrer is named by multiple successful applicants – the referrer will only receive a maximum of one £50 Welcome Centre Gift Voucher award.
  8. Referrals should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes. Referral links should not be published or distributed on commercial websites (such as coupon websites, Reddit, or Wikipedia) or on blogs. QUB Students are prohibited from “spamming” anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link. QUB Students are prohibited from paying to advertise their referral code.
  9. The Programme may not be combined with other QUB referral programs or incentives. 
  10. By entering this programme, participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. All entry instructions also form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  11. This promotion is open to anyone except staff of Queen’s University Belfast, their agents and agencies and anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
  12. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete, or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by the Promoter.
  13. If any technical failure, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter, corrupts or affects the administration, integrity or fairness of the promotion, then the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion and/or invalidate affected entries.
  14. The award recipients acknowledge and accept that they are responsible for their own safety in association with the redemption of their awards and that the Promoter accepts no liability for any injury incurred by the award recipients. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies accept no liability for any loss, expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with the promotion and/or prize, other than such liability that cannot be excluded by law and any such liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permissible by law.
  15. There are no cash or other alternatives to the stated awards and, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the promoter, the awards will only be awarded directly to the successful participants at Queen’s University Belfast.
  16. The award recipients will not be able to refund or transfer to another award.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter or terminate this promotion and these terms and conditions without prior notice, at any time.
  18. In the event of circumstances outside of its control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute with similar prizes of equal or greater value.
  19. The decision of Queen's University Belfast is final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into.
  20. This Programme is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ LinkedIn or any other social media platform.
  21. The award recipients may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the competition and the winners shall participate in such activity on the Promoter’s reasonable request.
  22. The award recipients consent to the use by the Promoter, both during and for a period of five years after the closing date of the competition, of the award recipients’ photographs, quotes, names, voices and images for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites and social media accounts hosted by the Promoter) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Programme, all entrants consent to the same.
  23. This Promotion is subject to Northern Irish law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Irish courts.
