EIT Food Seedbed Incubator Programme
The EIT Food Seedbed Incubator Programme is delivered by top EIT Food Partner Universities and Research and Innovation Organisations (Seedbed Hubs), providing their expertise in technology commercialisation and their vast connections with Industry to support researchers, scientists and entrepreneurs launch or progress a commercially viable business based on market need.
Seedbed Hubs provide participants with the skills, personalised business coaching, Industry connections and funding to get out of the building and test innovative ideas directly with 100+ potential customers and end-users and learn how to progress from a great idea to a validated business proposition.
EIT Food Seedbed Programme
Queens University are leading on the EIT Food Seedbed Incubator Programme. We are actively scouting for teams, academic or research entrepreneurs or early stage startups working on innovative technologies that could have a potential application in the food sector. Teams participating on Seedbed will receive:
- Access to expert training and personalised business support;
- 6k Euro for proof of market activities and potential for follow-on support to launch a new venture and de risk the technology
- Value-added sessions to include: 1:1 expert support; IP advisory and support clinics; access to investor readiness training; pitch training; peer networking; exposure to investors, commercial partners and other stakeholders; and business development workshops.
