Tribute to Denis Lynn

4 May, 2021
Denis Lynn was founder and CEO of Finnebrogue Artisan, an innovative beef and venison production plant (with plans to extend into plant-based food retail) which employs around 1,000 people in Co Down and supplies major UK supermarkets including M&S, Asda and Waitrose

It is with deep sadness that the members of the Industry Advisory Board at the Institute for Global Food Security at Queen’s University Belfast have learned of the passing of Denis Lynn, one of our fellow members. Denis was a founding member of the Board, where we have greatly appreciated his input and interest, part of a much greater involvement and commitment by him and Finnebrogue to the Institute.

Indeed, we have been blessed by his involvement, standing as he did as one of Northern Ireland’s most entrepreneurial and innovative business leaders. There is no doubt that we have all lost a great man and we send our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Lynn family, his close friends and all those at Finnebrogue Artisan.

Dr Clive Black

Chairman, Industry Advisory Board
