Mariusz Kwiatkowski (M.Kwiatkowski@is.uz.zgora.pl) is a sociologist and an associate professor at the Laboratory of Social Cohesion (Institute of Sociology, University of Zielona Góra, Poland), coordinator of the international research team “Connectivity Center”.
As a visiting researcher at The Senator George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice, Queen's University Belfast, he is implementing a research project: TOGETHER BUT HOW? Overcoming Social Distrust and Intergroup Divisions in the Cross-Disciplinary Perspective. He is the author or co-author of books and articles on issues of social cohesion, social capital, social entrepreneurship, urban regeneration, trust and cross-border cooperation and exploratory walks. Recently, as a co-author, he has published the article: Intercultural Exploratory Walk: The Case of Galata Bridge as a Contact Zone in Istambul in: "Kontaktzonen und Grenzenregionen" (ed. S. Kleinmann, A. Peselmann, I. Spiker) Leipzig 2019. He will be at the Senator George J. Mitchell Institute from September-December 2020.
