We Never Gave Up is the third in a trilogy of documentary films following the lives of eleven survivors of the South African racist apartheid regime who suffered various atrocities, which spans twenty years following the original subjects, and the children of those who have passed on. More than two decades into parliamentary democracy, the subjects in We Never Gave Up talk about their lives today, with the promise of a better tomorrow elusive.

Post-screening discussion with the producer, Shirley Gunn, from the Human Rights Media Centre, Cape Town, Cahal McLaughlin, QUB, director, and chaired by Brandon Hamber, Transitional Justice Institute, Ulster University.
