Regional Open Days


We are pleased to advise that Queen’s will once again be coming to a location near you in a series of interactive regional open days in March 2020.

The events will take place at the following locations:


Wednesday 4th March
Foyle Arena,
2 Limavady Road,


Thursday 5th March
Newry Leisure Centre,
Cecil Street,


Friday 6th March
Omagh Leisure Complex,
Old Mountfield Road,

These events are targeted at pupils in Years 11, 12 and 13 who are studying - or interested in studying - any of the subject areas listed below:

  • Archaeology and Palaeoecology
  • Audio Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Chemistry
  • Chemical Technology
  • Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Geography
  • Mathematics and Physics
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Planning
  • Product Design Engineering
  • Psychology
  • Software and Electronic Systems Engineering

The events will run from 10.30am – 2.00pm and we envisage students would need approx. 60-90 minutes to fully enjoy the event.

We would be pleased to reimburse the costs of your coach hire to transport students to and from the event, up to the value of £400.

Students will have the opportunity to learn about the subjects through participation in demonstrations and will have the opportunity to speak to relevant academics and current students.
