Our MSc in Applied Cyber Security aims to develop the next generation of industry leaders and address a global shortage of cyber security professionals.
The emphasis of our programme is to provide graduates with a comprehensive understanding of the cyber security challenges facing industry and society, both today and in the future, and equipping them with the skills necessary to address those challenges.
World-class pedigree
Our MSc offers a syllabus informed by the world-class research being undertaken at the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT). CSIT was recently honoured by Her Majesty the Queen for its work in strengthening global cyber security and protecting the online activity of billions of internet users around the world.

State-of-the-art facilities
A recent £500m investment will result in a brand new state-of-the-art cyber security research lab at the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT). CSIT is a GCHQ-accredited Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research and is the UK's largest university research lab in this field.
Scholarships and industry prizes
Two bursaries are available for students enrolling on Queen's University Belfast’s GCHQ/NCSC certified MSc Applied Cyber Security. Bursaries are funded by The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) as part of the National Cyber Security Programme. The bursaries will cover full tuition fees.
