Sustainable Urbanisation: Building the Perfect City
An Insight into MSc (Masters) in Urban and Rural Design
This short webinar took place on Tuesday 11th April 2017 at 1000 GMT
With Dr Urmi Sengupta, School of Natural and Built Environment
The MSc in Urban and Rural Design at Queen's University, Belfast offers students the opportunity to gain specialisation in urban and rural design and planning that helps to create successful ‘places’ that are economically active, socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable. The course explores the relationship between nature and built environment in both urban and rural settings and focuses on developing the skills and knowledge necessary for working effectively in an increasingly urbanised and complex world.
During this Webinar - which lasted approximately 40 minutes - Dr Sengupta gave a short presentation, typical of normal lecture content, entitled ‘Urban Design in an Urbanised World: Building the Perfect City’.
The Webinar presentation then continued with a brief description of the various modules of study within our Urban and Rural Design Masters and how these fit into the structure of the programme as a whole, together with an outline of the Independent Design Project, which is the final design showcase project.
During the Webinar, attendees had the opportunity to submit written questions which were then answered in full by Dr Sengupta before finishing the online session.
You can view a recording of the webinar online (some additional software may be required).
