Department for the Economy (DFE) Studentships

The Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences is pleased to announce a number of DfE Studentships funded by the Department for the Economy (DFE).

The Funded studentships are available for a variety of research projects within The School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences, The School of Nursing and Midwifery, The School of Biological Sciences and The School of Pharmacy.

The studentship may cover maintenance and fees for a maximum of three years. To be considered eligible you must have been ordinarily resident in the UK for the full 3-year period prior to the start of the studentship and you must be ordinarily resident in Northern Ireland on the first day of the start of the studentship.

For UK domiciled students the value of an award includes the cost of approved tuition fees and maintenance support. For further information about eligibility criteria please refer to the DfE Postgraduate Studentship Terms and Conditions.

School of Biological Sciences

We Aim To Enhance The Way We Use Technology In Research, Food Security, Microbiology, Ecosystem Biology And Sustainability.

The School of Biological Sciences provides research programmes in areas spanning from basic biochemistry with applications in e.g. cancer research, all the way to the economic evaluation of ecosystem services and the retailing of food.
