Overview

Applicants must be full-time second year undergraduate students in the School of Law.

The Study USA Programme, formerly known as the Business Education Initiative, takes pre-final year students from Northern Ireland's two universities to the USA to study Business for a full academic year at a university or college that has an affiliation to one of the main Christian churches in the USA - Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist and Episcopalian.  It is open to students in any discipline.

Students apply for SUSA in the first semester of their second year via an online application form.  Shortlisting is in accordance mainly with academic grades.  Shortlisted students undergo a criteria based interview (for Study USA) and are selected in accordance with their performance in it.

This scholarship will go to the successful student with the best academic performance since the commencement of their degree.

An award of £1500 will be made on an annual basis to one undergraduate student in the School of Law participating in the Study USA programme.

One award per annum from 2018-19 for 5 years.

One award will be made per annum.  In the event of a tie break, the School of Law will take into account rankings from the programme selection interviews.
