The Queen’s Marine Laboratory in Portaferry will host its annual Open Day on Saturday 30th June as part of the Portaferry Sails and Sounds Festival.
Members of the team from the County Down based Laboratory would like to invite all staff, students and their families to call between 10am – 4pm to meet researchers, get up close to some local marine life, and even see the wave tank in action! They will be joined by representatives from DAERA Marine Division, Ulster Wildlife, and CEDaR, and Portaferry will be alive with traditional music and dance, market stalls and boat trips. The Open Day is a free, family friendly event.
