Code Red for Humanity Part 3: Renewable Energy
Queen’s University's Public Engagement team have launched a new series of videos and podcasts on climate change, in response to the IPCC Report published in 2021.
Featuring interviews with Queen’s experts, the series will look at issues from clean transport and energy to the importance of peatlands as carbon sinks.
This episode features a wide-ranging discussion with Dr Aoife Foley on wind-power and the need to ensure the fiscal and economic context supports the growth of clean energy.
The first two episodes, focussing on the physical science behind climate change (with Dr Donal Mullan) and the need to transition to clean transport (with Professor Juliana Early) are available now as audio downloads (search for The Charter Podcast) or as videos on The Charter Podcast web page.
The series has been launched in the run-up to the COP26 Climate Summit in Glasgow, November 2021. You can find out more about further Queen's Climate Events at this site.
