Online Will Service


The Queen’s Foundation is a registered charity (NIC 102044) and a member of Will to Give, a group of Northern Ireland charities, whose aim is to promote the impact of gifts in wills to support local causes.

Together we have teamed up with Bequeathed, an online will writing service, to help supporters like you to write or update a simple will for free, quickly and easily, and from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  1. Complete the online interview. The questions will cover all the information required to make your will quickly. You can do it from the comfort of your own home in just 20 minutes. There is a team online to assist you.

  2. An accredited local legal firm will donate up to 30 minutes of their expertise to help you make your free will. For most people, that will be all they need. If you have complex family circumstances, multiple properties, business assets or foreign property, you will need to pay for additional advice. Where that is the case, the firm will provide you with a quote. It's up to you whether to accept.

  3. Your will is then checked by an expert, to make sure your wishes are clear.

  4. Once it has been checked, you need to print and sign in front of two witnesses to make it legally binding. Bequeathed will help steer and support you throughout this process.

  

INCLUDING A GIFT IN YOUR WILL TO CHARITY

We understand that your priority is looking after your loved ones, so there is no obligation to leave a gift to Queen’s in your will, but we hope you may consider it. If you do choose to leave a gift to Queen's in your will, thank you. And if you prefer your legacy to support a particular area of interest at Queen's, please contact the Legacy Manager to confirm your specific wishes, and we will ensure these are recorded appropriately for future use.
