Green Awards 2018

The event celebrated the efforts and achievements of staff and students who have participated in the University's Green Impact, Environmental Leadership and Green Challenge Programmes.

This year, 84 teams participated in Green Impact – more than any other participating UK university – and 125 slates and certificates were presented by newly-appointed Registrar Wendy Galbraith. These included:

  • 2 Platinum Awards for the School of Arts, English and Languages and Queen's Marine Laboratory

  • Student Leadership Award: Judith Steele

  • Community Action Award: Centre for Educational Development

  • Environmental Improvement Award: School of Arts, English and Languages

  • Innovation for Engagement Award: The McClay Library
