'People First' – Queen's People and Culture Strategy

'People First', Queen's People and Culture Strategy – launched at an All Staff Event on Tuesday 27 March – aims to support the delivery of the Corporate Plan's strategic priorities through its key influencers, the people of Queen's.

The Strategy, which has been developed by the Human Resources Directorate, has three pillars – the Employee Experience, Culture, and Talent. Introducing the People and Culture Strategy, Brian Parkes, Director of Human Resources, says:

"... the HR Directorate is excited about developing plans in each of these pillars.

"The pillars are all connected – providing an attractive experience for our people, and developing them to their full potential in a culture which they enjoy, will allow us to be seen as an attractive destination for world-class talent, especially academics."

Developments are already taking place, with the rollout of the Staff Forum, the launch of the new Appointments Procedure and the establishment of a dedicated Resourcing team. (Click on the links in bold for more on these developments.)
