Jen has over ten years’ experience in education, qualifying as a Post-Primary teacher specialising in the creative arts, and working in a number of training and management positions for Northern Ireland’s Creative Learning Centres, Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) and Northern Ireland Screen, before joining Queen’s in an eLearning role in 2018.

Jen was involved in producing a number of resources and professional development materials to support the delivery and assessment of the statutory Northern Ireland curriculum. She has designed and delivered training on the application of technologies to support digital pedagogy, curriculum design and digital skills development across the education sector.

Responsibilities within the University

  • Digital Learning Consultant, Centre of Educational Development
  • Member of the VLE Pedagogy Support Team
  • Lead on the Supporting Learning in the Digital Age SEDA course
  • Member of the Universal Design for Learning Group

External Recognition

Member of the General Teaching Council Northern Ireland.

Professional and Personal Interests

Jen is interested in critical digital pedagogy, inclusive digital learning design and innovative and creative practice, and has recently completed a professional diploma in User Experience (UX) Design.
