Current Supply Arrangements

The following outlines the current position in relation to supply arrangements for clubs and societies (“clubs”). 

Following discussions at the training nights in October 2009, and subsequent feedback from clubs, it was acknowledged that, for the most part, University contracts for the supply of goods and services to Schools and Directorates are not likely to meet the requirements of clubs due to their needs being fundamentally different.

As such, supply arrangements for clubs have continued on a ‘business as usual’ basis with the intention that clubs will be advised, by the Income & Student Finance Office, each time a new supply arrangement has been put in place by the Purchasing Office.

On the basis of feedback from clubs, decisions have been taken in relation to the direction of travel for the purchase of those goods and services deemed to represent the most common requirements across all clubs.  In this regard, the current position is outlined below.
