The purpose of the Credit Control Section is, through the implementation of credit management policy, processes and procedures to ensure the prompt collection of payment for all billed revenue. Our objective is to maximise the University’s cash position and therefore minimise the risk to the University of bad debt.
- The Credit Control section is responsible for the assessment and set up of new customers on Qfis.
- The Credit Control section is responsible for the collection of all University commercial and student fee debts.
- Customers and students will be contacted by telephone, email and written reminders regarding their debt balance.
- If debt is not collected using internal collection methods, the Credit Control section may liaise with the designated University solicitors, debt collection agencies, or take legal action for the recovery of the amount owing to the University.
