Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans

Members of staff with a disability which prevents them vacating their place of work in the event of an emergency, must have a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP). 

The PEEP will be arranged by the Diversity & Inclusion Unit in consultation with the Fire Safety Officer. 

Managers with responsibility for staff with disabilities should contact either Leeann Matchett ( or Fiona O’Connell ( for further advice.

Students who have a disability or long term condition which may prevent them safely vacating their place of study or accommodation, must also have a PEEP. 

Staff in schools with responsibility for students with a disability should contact Disability Services to make arrangements for a review of the individual needs of the student in question.
