Outcomes of Appraisal
- In most cases the outcome of appraisal is an agreed statement about the achievements of the previous year, an agreed set of standards, objectives and key tasks/activities for the incoming year, and an agreed development plan.
- It facilitates the identification of those individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the strategic objectives of the School/Directorate.
- Performance will be managed through normal management processes. Where agreed objectives have not been met (without good reason), performance should be managed through the Capability Procedure. Where this happens the appraisal process will be halted.
