The 2017/18 appraisal year completes on 31 July 2018 and appraisal meetings should commence shortly.
It is important that these meetings are constructive discussions, which focus on reviewing progress against previous objectives and role expectations; providing two way feedback; agreeing new objectives and development needs; discussing career aspirations; and what support is required, if any.
Appraisal also provides an opportunity to further embed our Core Values of Integrity, Connected, Ambition, Respect and Excellence (ICARE), which can help assist in the consideration of “how” staff achieve objectives alongside Professional Standards.
The Appraisal webpages are available to guide you through the process; provide helpful tips for both appraisers and appraisees; and give you access to supporting documentation. Following staff survey feedback we will be reviewing the appraisal process, but the current process will continue to be used for the 2018/19 performance year.
