LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
Our Human Resources programme of learning and development events for staff is currently being refreshed and revised. This follows the introduction of the new People and Culture Strategy: People First, which has been designed to support the delivery of the strategic priorities set out in the Corporate Plan through our people. This has involved some changes to Human Resources responsibilities. The Staff Training and Development Unit has been renamed Learning and Development and sits within the Organisational Development team in Human Resources. The other areas of expertise in Organisational Development are: Talent Development and Staff Engagement.
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT EVENTS FOR STAFF 2018-19
In preparation for the 2018-19 academic year, we are currently reviewing our learning and development provision for staff. A revised programme of personal development courses and workshops for staff (offered via Human Resources) will be promoted as soon as possible. Staff will be kept updated via the weekly Round Up and the website in due course. The Staff Training and Development Programme will be updated regularly and courses are available for booking as normal via iTrent Self-Service.
Courses and workshops for Researchers will also be scheduled and available for booking as soon as possible. Additional information is available here.
OTHER COURSES DELIVERED
Courses delivered by other departments such as IT Training, Safety Training, Centre for Educational Development, Finance are unaffected.
Other Directorates also co-ordinate training and development courses and support for staff in key areas relevant to their function and expertise.
