Connecting with Others and Loneliness with Samaritans

Samaritans will provide Queens Staff with a Lunch and Learn session on Connecting with Others and Loneliness
Samaritans began back in 1953 with a listening service provided by volunteers. Volunteers are drawn from across the community and from all walks of life. They come together to support people whoever they are and whenever they are needed.
This session will discuss how to connect with others and how to combat loneliness in the community particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, the session will include:
1. LISTENING. How we can all be better listeners. Samaritans SHUSH listening tips
2. RESILIENCE. How we can learn to roll with the up and downs of life.
3. CONNECT. You are not on your own. There is always someone you can talk to.
