The Programme provides you with training to help you develop those skills and qualities essential to effective coaching such as listening, giving feedback, asking powerful questions and building rapport.
The Coaching Connections Programme consists of workshops covering among other elements: the foundations and key principles of coaching, managing a coaching conversation within a work context, coaching skills, tools and language, and coaching practice with peers and internal Coachees.
The programme offers a nationally recognised coaching qualification – the ILM level 5 Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring, aimed at mid-level leaders (typically equivalent to Level 2 and above of our Leadership and Management Framework) and the content therefore is structured to cover all elements required for the ILM Level 5 certificate including:
- 6 workshop days
- 3 hours of 1:1 coaching supervision to support you in your development as an internal coach at Queen's
- 18 hours of coaching with 3 internal coaching clients
- Tutorial support and guidance to complete 3 written assignments
