ALZHEIMER'S AWARENESS SESSION
For World Alzheimer's Day, Queen's University Belfast in partnership with the Alzheimer's Society will be providing a talk for staff on Thursday 19 September 2019.
September is World Alzheimer's month and World Alzheimer's Day falls on Saturday 21 September. In partnership with the Alzheimer's Society of Northern Ireland, Queen's University is providing an Awareness Lunchtime session for staff. This interactive 1 hour session will explore what dementia is, signs and symptoms, different types of dementia as well as inviting participants to explore the condition from the perspective of people living with dementia.
Alzheimer’s Society is the only UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research to find a cure and supports people living with dementia today. Founded in 1979, Alzheimer's Society works towards eliminating dementia.
