Riddel Hall at Queen's University is a grade 2 red brick listed building, set in its own landscaped grounds with onsite parking. In recent years it has been sympathetically renovated to retain many original features. Its central location in the heart of South Belfast, forming part of the QUB campus, make it an ideal choice for hosting the AULC 2017 conference.
Internally, the venue offers a range of modern facilities including executive lounges, nine syndicate rooms and four larger meeting rooms which will be used for parallel sessions. Alongside the original building and joined to it by a glass walkway is a state of the art Conference and Training Centre, accommodating a lecture theatre for 130 where AULC 2017 opening, plenary and keynote talks will be held.
Both morning and afternoon refreshment breaks will be accommodated in the glass corridors adjacent to the lecture theatre, an ideal location for large groups to enjoy hot and cold refreshments throughout the day. The Isdell Courtyard, enclosed by a glass roof, is the central catering space in Riddel Hall where the conference finger buffet lunch will be served.
